So I started this post about a week ago and then got caught up in work and travelling to California and Chicago (more to come)... so sorry for the delay and for anyone who is over Easter... but here was how I spent Easter Sunday.
I headed out to Long Island for the weekend to celebrate with C and his family. We had a wonderful time eating, drinking and just generally being merry, I only wish that the weather had been nicer... aka so I could have brought out some Lilly Pulitzer... I refrained as I thought it might just be too cold and I'm glad I did as the wind would have probably killed me... California blood.
For Easter we pretty much just focused on the food. We started with some very delicious shrimp cocktails... cocktail sauce recipe below. (very easy and delicious).
Who doesn't love a good twice baked potato... noms
Bacon wrapped asparagus... lets be real. bacon makes everything better. period.
And for the show stopper... an Easter Ham.
For dessert we had dulche de leche cheesecake bars which were delicious and I wasn't able to snap a pic as I was too caught up in eating to remember blogging about it. Sorry. But take my word for it, it was DELICIOUS.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter full of food, friends, and family.
